Palestinian crisis talks start in Saudi Arabia

MECCA, Saudi Arabia, Feb 7 (Reuters) - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas opened crisis talks with Islamist group Hamas on Wednesday with a vow not to leave until they had reached agreement to end factional fighting he called a "catastrophe".

Live television footage showed Abbas and Hamas officials including Damascus-based Khaled Meshaal sitting at a round table.
