ADVISORY-Reuters Witness story from Mogadishu

Sahal Abdulle is a veteran Somali reporter. Since mid-2006 he has reported on the rise and fall of the Islamist movement in the capital Mogadishu for Reuters. In the following story slugged WITNESS-SOMALIA/JOURNALIST and headlined "WITNESS-Escaping bombs and saving tortoises in Mogadishu" he describes being injured in a bomb attack that killed his friend. Abdulle was treated in Mogadishu and Nairobi and is recuperating from his injuries with his family in Canada.
