NAIROBI, Jan 10 (Reuters) - African Union Chairman John Kufuor is expected to leave Kenya on Thursday after trying to help resolve the country's violent electoral crisis, new Kenyan Foreign Minister Moses Wetangula said.

"President Kufuor will brief the media as he leaves," Wetangula told Reuters at a Nairobi hotel where Kufuor had been meeting Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga.

Wetangula declined to comment on the negotiations to end the dispute between Odinga and President Mwai Kibaki. (Reporting by Duncan Miriri; editing by Alistair Thomson)
