FACTBOX-Security developments in Iraq, May 10

May 10 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 1400 GMT on Saturday:

* Denotes a new or updated item.

* BASRA - A roadside bomb killed two civilians and wounded five others when it hit a police patrol in Basra, 550 km (340 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

* MAHMUDIYA - Iraqi police and soldiers detained 18 wanted men in a raid on Mahmudiya town, 30 km (20 miles) south of Baghdad. The security forces also found two bodies during the operation.

BAGHDAD - U.S. and Iraqi security forces killed eight gunmen on Friday in clashes in different districts of Baghdad, the U.S. military said. Two hospitals in east Baghdad's Sadr City slum said they had received the bodies of 19 people and treated 116 wounded in clashes in the past 24 hours.

BAGHDAD - A rocket landed in eastern Baghdad, killing two people and wounding eight others, police said.

BAGHDAD - Five people were wounded in a rocket attack in Baghdad's western Mansour district, police said.

BAGHDAD - Two bodies were found in different districts of Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - A mortar round wounded three people in eastern Baghdad's Palestine street, police said.
