CONAKRY, Jan 10 (Reuters) - Guinea's powerful unions have suspended a threat to start an indefinite general strike from Thursday following last minute negotiations with the government, union negotiator Boubacar Biro Barry said. The West African country's union federation last week called the strike in protest at President Lansana Conte's dismissal of a member of a consensus government put in place to end unrest almost a year ago in the world's largest bauxite exporter.
