Algiers bombs death toll rises to 33 - minister

ALGIERS, April 12 (Reuters) - The death toll from twin bombings in Algiers has risen to 33, Algerian Interior Minister Nourredine Yazid Zerhouni was quoted as saying on Thursday by the official APS news agency.

The previous official casualty toll from Wednesday's suicide blasts was 24 dead and 222 wounded, while hospital sources had put the death toll at 30. Zerhouni said 57 of the wounded remained in hospital, the rest having been sent home.
