Dec 13 (Reuters) - Taliban forces killed a British Marine in fighting in the southern province of Helmand in southern Afghanistan on Tuesday, Britain's Ministry of Defence said.

The death brings to 43 the number of British troops killed in Afghanistan since the war to oust the Taliban in 2001.

Here are the latest figures for foreign military deaths in Afghanistan since the Taliban government was toppled in 2001:

NATO/U.S.-LED COALITION FORCES:

United States 358

Britain 43

Canada 44

Spain 19

Germany 18

Other nations 34

TOTAL: 516

About 3,800 people, most of them militants but including civilians, Afghan troops, aid workers and more than 180 foreign soldiers, have been killed in fighting in 2006.
