LONDON, Sept 1 (Reuters) - Britain called on Monday for the European Union to suspend talks on a new partnership agreement with Russia in protest at Moscow's military intervention in Georgia. "In light of Russia's actions we should suspend negotiations on a successsor to the partnership and cooperation agreement," a spokesman for Prime Minister Gordon Brown told reporters in London.
