FACTBOX-Security developments in Iraq, Aug 15

Aug 15 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 1400 GMT on Wednesday:

* Denotes new or updated item.

* BAGHDAD - U.S. forces killed 11 suspected insurgents and detained four others during operations targeting al Qaeda in central and northern Iraq, the U.S. military said.

* KIRKUK - A roadside bomb killed one person and wounded two others between Daquq and Kirkuk, 250 km (165 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

* NAJAF - A gunman on a motor bike killed a member of a joint Iraqi and U.S. security coordination centre in Najaf, 160 km (100 miles) south of Baghdad, on Tuesday, police said.

* DOURA - Insurgents killed three police commandos and wounded two others in southern Baghdad's Doura district, police said.

* BAGHDAD - A sniper killed two people on al-Kifah street in central Baghdad, police said.

* MADAEN - Gunmen killed one person and wounded another in Madaen, 45 km (25 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

* HILLA - At least five people were killed and 12 wounded when a suicide car bomber attacked a judge's house in Hilla, 100 km (60 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

BUHRIZ - At least resident was killed and 13 wounded in clashes between insurgent gunmen and Iraqi security forces in Buhriz, 60 km (35 miles) northeast of Baghdad, police said. They said seven insurgents were also killed.

MOSUL - A suicide car bomb targeting an Iraqi police patrol killed one policeman and wounded four others in Mosul, 390 km (240 miles ) north of Baghdad, police said.
