(Adds military statement) GAZA, Jan 16 (Reuters) - An Israeli air strike killed two Palestinians in the central Gaza Strip on Wednesday, the ruling Islamist Hamas faction said. It said an Israeli missile destroyed a car, killing its two occupants. Their identities were not immediately given. An Israeli military spokeswoman confirmed there had been an air strike, saying it targeted a vehicle transporting munitions.
