MADRID, Nov 1 (Reuters) - At least two people have died and as many as six are thought to be trapped in a landslide of rocks and stones on to a beach on the Spanish island of Tenerife, local emergency services said on Sunday.

The two victims are both women, they said.

Rescue crews were working to clear the Los Gigantes beach to reach those believed to be trapped beneath the pile of rocks, which in some parts were piled up to five metres deep, a spokeswoman from the emergency services reported. (Reporting by Inmaculada Sanz; Writing by Paul Day)
