June 17 (Reuters) - A U.S. soldier was killed on Friday when a roadside bomb went off near his patrol, the U.S. military reported on Saturday. A U.S. Air Force pilot was also killed on Friday when his jet crashed five miles north of Balad Air Base. Britain's Ministry of Defence reported the death of a soldier in a road accident in Basra on Saturday.
