GAZA, Dec 17 (Reuters) - Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, a senior Hamas leader, rejected on Sunday a call by moderate President Mahmoud Abbas for new elections and warned that a poll could deepen disorder in the West Bank and Gaza. "The Palestinian government rejects the call for holding early parliamentary elections because it is not constitutional and may lead to a large disturbance in the Palestinian territory," Haniyeh told cabinet colleagues. He further called Abbas's call for elections, issued on Saturday, "incitive".
