MOMBASA, Kenya, Jan 18 (Reuters) - Kenyan police in the Indian Ocean port city of Mombasa shot and killed a man protesting against President Mwai Kibaki's disputed re-election on Friday, a senior opposition politician said. "The police shot dead a young man who was peacefully demonstrating," opposition legislator Najib Balala told reporters. Mombasa police chief Wilfred Mbithi said he had heard reports of the death, but could not confirm it.
