Kyrgyz president accepts government resignation

BISHKEK, Dec 19 (Reuters) - Kyrgyzstan's President Kurmanbek Bakiyev accepted on Tuesday the government's resignation, his spokesman said of a procedure aimed at enforcing a new constitution.

"The president accepted the resignation and asked everyone with the prime minister at the helm to carry on with their duties until a new government is formed," Dosaly Esyenaliyev said.
