ULYANOVSKAYA MINE, Russia, March 20 (Reuters) - Four senior managers of a Siberian coal mine and a visiting British businessman were among the 97 victims in Russia's deadliest mining accident for more than a decade, Itar-Tass news agency reported on Tuesday.

The deputy director of the Ulyanovskaya mine, the chief engineer, chief mechanic and a head of section were giving the visitor an underground tour when a methane gas explosion ripped through the mine on Monday, killing them all, Itar-Tass quoted rescue operation officials as saying.

The British businessman has not been named.

The mine's director was on holiday at the time of the accident, ITAR-TASS said.

Rescue officials could not immediately be reached to confirm the ITAR-TASS report.
