KATSINA, Nigeria, April 21 (Reuters) - Voting started on Saturday in Nigerian elections to decide the first handover of power from one civilian president to another.

An attempt to blow up electoral headquarters in the capital Abuja failed a few hours before a Reuters reporter said voting had begun, minutes ahead of the scheduled time of 10 a.m. (0900 GMT), in the northern city of Katsina.
