Iraqi proposals would take too long-Turkey

ANKARA, Oct 26 (Reuters) - Proposals offered by a high-level Iraqi delegation to Turkey to prevent a major military operation against Kurdish rebels in northern Iraq would take too long to take effect, the Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Friday.

Levent Bilman said Turkey wanted faster action to fight terrorism in northern Iraq.
