CAIRO, April 27 (Reuters) - Two prison inmates died in hospital on Saturday of injuries sustained in a prison fire, taking the death toll to five, security sources said.

The Interior Ministry said on Friday an electrical short in a ceiling fan sparked a fire in the prisoners' sleeping quarters in Wadi el Natrun prison, northwest of Cairo.

Three inmates died and an undetermined number were injured, some of whom were transferred to a hospital outside the prison.
