GAZA, Nov 28 (Reuters) - Israeli missiles that struck a Hamas security position in the southern Gaza Strip killed two Hamas naval police officers on Wednesday, Hamas and Palestinian medical workers said.

An Israeli army spokesman confirmed that there had been an air strike at a Hamas position after mortars were fired at nearby Israeli communities.

Two Hamas members were killed and three others were wounded during the missile strike on a Hamas naval base near the southern Gaza town of Khan Younis, medical workers said. (Reporting by Nidal al-Mughrabi; Writing by Ori Lewis; Editing by Janet Lawrence)
