GAZA, Jan 30 (Reuters) - The Hamas-led police force and the Fatah-dominated Preventive Security force began swapping prisoners on Tuesday that each side took hostage during a surge of Palestinian infighting, officials said.

Islam Shahwan, a spokesman for the Hamas force, said six men held since fighting erupted on Thursday had been released in Gaza as part of a truce deal. A spokesman for Preventive Security said they had handed over to Hamas two members of a Hamas-led force.
