US military says kills 26 militants in Baghdad

BAGHDAD, June 30 (Reuters) - The U.S. military said it killed about 26 militants believed to have ties to "Iranian terror networks" in the early hours of Saturday in the Baghdad Shi'ite stronghold of Sadr City.

In a statement, the military said the raids targeted four cars belonging to "secret cell" networks, adding 17 militants had also been detained.
