(Adds details) BAGHDAD, March 31 (Reuters) - The final death toll from a massive truck bomb attack in the Iraqi town of Tal Afar earlier this week was 152, officials said on Saturday, making it the single deadliest bombing since the war began in 2003. Officials had previously said 85 people died in Tuesday's attack in a Shi'ite area of the northwestern Iraqi town. Interior Ministry spokesman Brigadier Abdul Kareem Khalaf said 347 were wounded. There was also another truck bomb attack in Tal Afar on Tuesday but it was smaller. Khalaf said 100 homes had been destroyed in the main blast, which he said was caused by 2 tonnes of explosives that left a 23-metre-wide crater. The truck bombing triggered reprisal attacks by gunmen and police in a Sunni neighbourhood in Tal Afar hours later. Officials had said up to 70 were killed in the revenge attacks. Khalaf put the number at 47.
