ZAGREB, July 3 (Reuters) - Croatia identified its first case of the H1N1 flu virus in a patient who flew in from Australia this week, Health Minister Darko Milinovic said on Friday.

"The virus has been confirmed with four different lab tests," Milinovic told a news conference.

The Jutarnji List daily said on its website the patient was a 60-year-old Australian woman from Sydney.

Milinovic said the patient was being treated with normal flu medicine, not Tamiflu, and did not need to be hospitalised.

Most other countries in the Balkan region have already reported cases of the H1N1 flu virus, also known as swine flu. (Reporting by Zoran Radosavljevic; edited by Tim Pearce)
