Aug 7 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 2100 GMT on Friday.

* MOSUL - A suicide car bomber killed 38 people and wounded 140 as they left a Shi'ite Muslim mosque just outside the northern city of Mosul, police said. The provincial governor said 37 people were killed and 276 wounded.

MOSUL - Gunmen opened fire on an Iraqi police checkpoint killing two policemen southeast of Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

MOSUL - Gunmen shot dead an off duty policeman in central Mosul, police said.

* BAGHDAD - A bomb hidden in a motorcycle killed six people and wounded 35 in a market in the mostly Sunni Muslim district of al-Khadhraa in west Baghdad on Friday, police said.

* KIRKUK - A half-burnt corpse was found near a cemetery in northern Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad.

BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb targeting a minibus carrying Shi'ite Muslims returning from a religious pilgrimage killed three people and wounded eight in Sadr City in northeastern Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb targeting a minibus carrying Shi'ite pilgrims killed two people and wounded nine in eastern Baghdad, a hospital source said.
