BRUSSELS, March 9 (Reuters) - British Foreign Secretary Margaret Beckett, responding to reports a group of European hostages kidnapped in Ethiopia by Afar separatists rebels were in Eritrea, said she had received signals the group was "okay".

"We have had indications that people are saying the hostages are okay -- where they are is still something that has to be looked at," Beckett told a news conference in Brussels.
