NAIROBI, Sept 11 (Reuters) - Somali pirates have released a German-owned cargo ship and its 13-member crew, a regional maritime watchdog said on Thursday.

"I think a ransom was paid, but I am still getting details," Andrew Mwangura, of the East African Seafarers' Association, said of the ship which he named as the "BBC Trinidad". (Reporting by Andrew Cawthorne; editing by Sami Aboudi)
