SUKHUMI, Georgia, Aug 12 (Reuters) - Russia has 3,636 military servicemen deployed in Georgia's rebel Abkhazia region and "a bit less" in South Ossetia, Russian Defence Minister Anatoly Serdyukov told journalists on Wednesday.

Asked if Russia planned to boost its military presence in the two pro-Moscow separatist republics, Serdyukov replied: "Why have more (troops)? This is enough." (Reporting by Gleb Bryanski; Writing by Dmitry Solovyov; Editing by Dmitry Zhdannikov)
