FACTBOX-Security developments in Iraq, Dec 16

Dec 16 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 0720 GMT on Wednesday.

BAGHDAD - A car bomb exploded on Tuesday evening in a garage just outside Baghdad's Green Zone government district, wounding three civilians, police said. The bomb went off in the same area where, earlier the same day, police said a series of blasts killed four people.

BAGHDAD - A grenade wounded two security guards on Tuesday evening at a government grain storage area in the Hurriya district of northwestern Baghdad, police said.

MADAEN - A roadside bomb killed the local leader of a government-backed Sunni militia in Madaen, 30 km (20 miles) southeast of Baghdad, police said. The attack also wounded two of the man's bodyguards.
