Kazakhstan says one more rescued from clinic fire

ALMATY, Sept 14 (Reuters) - Kazakhstan said on Monday that one more person had been rescued from Sunday's fire at a drug addiction clinic, reducing the death toll to 37.

The government is investigating the cause of the fire, which has highlighted the state of the Central Asian country's crumbling Soviet-era infrastructure.

The clinic is one of many state-run institutions offering treatment to drug addicts in Kazakhstan, which lies on the main drug trafficking route from Afghanistan to Western Europe. (Writing by Olzhas Auyezov; Editing by Michael Roddy)
