Jan 18 (Reuters) - Following are developments in the fighting in the Gaza Strip as of 1300 GMT:

(* Denotes new or updated item)

* GAZA - Hamas says it will cease fire immediately along with other militant groups in the Gaza Strip and give Israel, which already declared a unilateral truce, a week to pull its troops out of the territory.

* SOUTHERN ISRAEL - Militants fired 14 rockets into southern Israel on Sunday. One person was lightly wounded when a rocket hit a house in Ashdod.

* GAZA - Israeli aircraft, responding to the salvoes, strike rocket launching sites, the Israeli military says.

* DEATH TOLL - The Hamas-run Health Ministry in Gaza says at least 1,300 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza offensive, among them at least 410 children and some 5,300 have been wounded, among them 1,631 children.

Israel has lost 13 dead -- 10 soldiers, and three civilians hit by Hamas rocket fire --- since Dec. 27 when it launched an offensive with the stated goal of halting rocket salvoes.

GAZA - Israeli forces and Palestinian militants wage a brief gun battle in the northern Gaza Strip. Hamas has rejected the ceasefire, saying it would continue fighting as long as Israeli troops remained in the territory.

GAZA - Hamas police reappear on the streets of Gaza in areas vacated by Israeli troops. Ambulances collect at least 95 bodies, mainly of gunmen from rubble killed and open areas in the northern Gaza Strip during the 22 days of fighting.

GAZA - Israel's unilateral ceasefire in the Gaza Strip went into effect at 2 a.m. (0000 GMT). (Jerusalem Newsroom)
