CAIRO, Sept 17 (Reuters) - The death toll from a massive rock slide that buried dozens of homes in an Egyptian shantytown this month rose to at least 95 people, security officials said on Wednesday.

Rescue workers, backed by bulldozers and jack hammers are still trying to recover more bodies buried under the rubble in eastern Cairo, the officials said.

Another security official put the death toll at 96. Rescue services have not pulled out any survivors since the face of a cliff fell on the houses on Sept. 6. (Writing by Alaa Shahine)
