FACTBOX-Military deaths in Afghanistan

Aug 18 (Reuters) - Taliban insurgents killed a British soldier in an attack on his patrol in the southern province of Helmand on Monday, the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said.

Here are figures for foreign military deaths as a result of violence or accidents in Afghanistan since the Taliban government was toppled in 2001:

NATO/U.S.-LED COALITION FORCES:

United States 572

Britain 116

Canada 90

Germany 26*

Spain 23

Netherlands 16

Other nations 76

TOTAL: 919
