* Lightning sets oil reservoir ablaze

* One firefighter killed, two others missing

MOSCOW, Aug 23 (Reuters) - A Siberian oil reservoir was set ablaze by lightning overnight, killing one firefighter and leaving two others missing, Russian news agencies reported on Sunday.

An Emergencies Ministry official said by telephone the fire in the Siberian region of Khanty-Mansiisk was under control.

Eighty-eight firefighters were dispatched to tackle the blaze at the Kanda oil transport station, controlled by Russian oil pipeline monopoly Transneft <TRNF_p.RTS>.

Interfax news agency quoted Transneft Vice-President Mikhail Barkov as saying the company was tapping reserve stocks of oil to make sure supplies to customers were not affected.

"Users of the system are not suffering," said Barkov. (Reporting by Robin Paxton and Amie Ferris-Rotman)
