MOSCOW, Aug 25 (Reuters) - Russia's upper house of parliament on Monday voted unanimously for a resolution calling on President Dmitry Medvedev to recognise Georgia's breakaway regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia as independent states. The Federation Council voted 130 for the resolution with none against, according to voting figures flashed up on a screen in the chamber, a Reuters reporter said.
