KIEV, Aug 28 (Reuters) - Belarus will soon announce its recognition of the independence of Georgia's South Ossetia and Abkhazia regions, Minsk's embassador to Russia said on Thursday, Russian news agencies reported. "As far as support is concerned, we are allies, and that says it all," Belarussian Ambassador Vasily Dolgolev told journalists when asked whether Minsk would support the independence of the two regions. Earlier, President Alexander Lukashenko said Russia had had no choice but to recognise the independence of the two regions. (Editing by Richard Balmforth)
