PORT HARCOURT, Nigeria, April 28 (Reuters) - Gunmen have kidnapped a Nigerian woman and her three children in the restive oil-producing Niger Delta, police said on Tuesday. Gunmen seized the four family members on Sunday while they were inside a church compound in the outskirts of Yenagoa, the capital of Nigeria's southern Bayelsa state. "The gunmen made away with a woman and her three children. But because of the sensitive nature of the matter we cannot disclose any more information," said Iniobong Ibokette, spokesman for the Bayelsa state police command. Kidnappings for ransom are common in the Niger Delta, which is home to Africa's biggest oil industry but has suffered neglect and pollution during five decades of oil extraction. More than 200 foreigners, mostly working in the oil industry, have been kidnapped in the Niger Delta since early 2006.
