Roadside bombs kill at least four in Baghdad

BAGHDAD, Oct 24 (Reuters) - Two roadside bombs exploded in a Baghdad street that was crowded with civilians on Wednesday, killing at least four people and wounding 25, police said.

The bombings occurred in the Diyala Bridge district of southern Baghdad. It is in a mainly Shi'ite Muslim part of the capital.

Police sources said the bombs exploded almost simultaneously near a busy market in an area where people had gathered for transport to their jobs.

Some police sources put the death toll as high as eight.
