July 31 (Reuters) - Following are security developments - Iraq at 1830 GMT on Friday.

* KIRKUK - A parked car bomb killed two people and wounded 15 others in a market area of north Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - Six bombs struck Shi'ite mosques across Baghdad, Killing at least 28 people and wounding 136, police said. These were as follows:

A car bomb struck people praying in the street outside a crowded mosque in northern Baghdad's Shaab district, killing at least 23 people and wounding 107.

Two blasts around the went off near a mosque in southeastern Baghdad's Diyala bridge area, killing four people and wounding 17.

A bomb in Zaafaraniya, southeast Baghdad, killed one person and wounded six.

Two more bombs close to mosques in Kamaliya and Alam districts wounded nine people.

MOSUL - Iraqi soldiers arrested a Moroccan man trying to plant a bomb in northern Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, on Thursday, the Iraqi army said.

MOSUL - A gunman killed two people and wounded two others when he threw a grenade at a house in northern Mosul on Thursday, police said.
