Quake, 7.3 magnitude, reported near Vanuatu- USGS

WASHINGTON, Aug 1 (Reuters) - A 7.3 magnitude earthquake was reported 50 miles (80 km) southeast of Santo, Vanuatu, in the Pacific, the U.S. Geological Survey said on Wednesday.

The quake was at a depth of 40 miles (65 km), USGS said. The epicenter was also 1,221 miles (1,965 km) northeast of Brisbane, Australia.
