MINNEAPOLIS, Aug 2 (Reuters) - Several more bodies were found on Thursday at the scene of a bridge collapse near downtown Minneapolis that sent cars tumbling into the Mississippi River, police said.

"Several (more) people are confirmed dead at the scene," Minneapolis Police Chief Tim Dolan said.

He said the local coroner had previously confirmed four deaths, and there could be more victims.

As many as 30 people were missing from Wednesday's collapse of the highway overpass over the river.
