Washington Post wins six Pulitzer Prizes

NEW YORK, April 7 (Reuters) - The Washington Post <WPO.N> won six Pulitzer Prizes on Monday, including the prestigious Public Service award for its reporting on conditions of U.S. war veterans at the Walter Reed military hospital.

The 92nd annual Pulitzer Prizes in Journalism, Letters, Drama and Music were announced at Columbia University in New York City. The Public Service winner receives a gold medal, while winners in the remaining 20 categories receive $10,000. (Reporting by Karen Brettell; Writing by Michelle Nichols; Editing by Bill Trott)
