TORONTO, June 7 (Reuters) - The Canadian government said on Saturday it concluded free trade negotiations with Colombia, including talks on related labor and environmental issues, a deal that would expand market access for goods and services from both countries.

Once implemented, the free trade agreement would improve access for agricultural products, industrial goods and services trade between Canada and Colombia, and it would provide for a more secure investments, the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade said in a news release posted on its Web site.

In 2007, two-way merchandise trade between Canada and Colombia reached $1.14 billion, the ministry said. Canada's direct investment stock in Colombia amounted to $739 million in 2007.
