Venezuela's Chavez says Colombian ties to improve

CARACAS, March 7 (Reuters) - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on Friday said relations with Colombia will normalize after he cut diplomatic ties with the neighboring nation as part of a diplomatic crisis that ended on Friday.

He added he would reopen Venezuela's border with Colombia after partially closing it to trade this week in protest over Colombia's attack on leftist rebels in Ecuador. (Reporting by Patrick Markey, Writing by Brian Ellsworth, editing by Todd Eastham)
