WASHINGTON, Nov 9 (Reuters) - Hurricane Ida was downgraded to a Category 1 hurricane, with top sustained winds of 90 miles per hour (145 kph), as it made its way through the Gulf of Mexico, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said on Monday.
