WASHINGTON, Oct 11 (Reuters) - A magnitude 5.7 quake struck off Indonesia's Sumatra island on Thursday at 2038 GMT, the U.S. Geological Survey said. It said the quake, whose epicenter was in the Indian Ocean 95 miles (153 km) west of Bengkulu, was quite shallow at 11.8 miles (19 km) deep. The Sumatra area has been hit by strong quakes in the past few days but no damage or casualties have been reported.
