VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct 12 (Reuters) - A Canadian soldier will stand trial in military court for the shooting death of a fellow soldier in Afghanistan, the military said on Friday. Master Cpl. Robbie Fraser is facing manslaughter and negligence charges in connection with the August 2006 death of Master Cpl. Jeffrey Walsh, who died of a gunshot wound while both men were on routine patrol near Kandahar. The military filed the charges against Fraser last March, but the case had to be reviewed by military prosecutors before a decision was made on holding a court martial. A date for the trial has not been set. It has been reported that Fraser's gun accidentally went off inside a cramped vehicle while it was traveling down a bumpy road. Fraser's family has argued he was being treated unfairly by the military over the incident.
