Venezuela says Russia to help run massive gold mine

CARACAS, Jan 13 (Reuters) - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on Tuesday said the OPEC nation had formed a joint venture with a Russian company to operate the massive Las Cristinas gold reserve.

Chavez said the long-delayed project would begin operating this year.
