(Adds detail) MEXICO CITY, Feb 14 (Reuters) - Mexican mine workers will strike next week to mark the first anniversary of a coal mine explosion that killed 65 men, the union said on Wednesday. The union said workers across the country would walk off the job to pressure the government to punish Grupo Mexico <GMEXICOB.MX>, the owner of the Pasta de Conchos coal mine, which suffered an explosion on Feb. 19, 2006. "Grupo Mexico is a company with no ethics or social responsibility that has shown absolute contempt for the lives of its workers," the union said in a statement. The union did not say if the strike would last more than one day, nor did it specify how wide it would be. The mine union is currently split in two factions and it is not clear how many workers will join the stoppage. A year on from the tragedy, Grupo Mexico has only managed to recuperate two bodies from the mine. The company says it has spent millions of dollars trying to reach the remains of the men, but that conditions in the collapsed mine have made progress very slow. The attorney general for the state of Coahuila, where the mine is located, has said he plans to issue warrants for the arrest of Grupo Mexico executives and Labor Ministry officials in connection with the explosion. Pasta de Conchos is located 75 miles (120 km) from Eagle Pass, Texas.
