HOUSTON, Sept 14 (Reuters) - Flooding and power outages due to Hurricane Ike hampered the restart of the Houma-to-Houston crude oil pipeline on Sunday, Shell <RDSa.L> said.

Work was underway to enable the system to make crude oil deliveries in sync with refinery customers as soon as they resume production in Houston and Port Arthur, Shell added. (Reporting by Bruce Nichols; Editing by Andre Grenon)
